- Vibe
- Focused, engaged, calm, with a sense of importance of what’s being talked about — think GL’s work meetings, “daily brief,” Arestovich talking about the war, Navalny’s Circles, etc. Our agenda is to increase our own understanding, freedom, and agency, with “us” being the individuals engaged in conversation + “the psychopolitical party”. We are not at war, we are not represented in elections, but we do have a little bit of money and we do make art and we do have a relationship with the machine elves and whatnot. What Is Going On & What Is To Be Done?
- What does a news show do? It’s rarely actionable (except for persuading the viewer to vote a certain way, in countries where that matters — but then in those countries, news shows tend to cater to specific audiences that already know how they will vote), but it creates a view of the world, the context to one’s life. The standard narratives, whether they’re left or right of the political center, tend to be disempowering: the agency rests with governments and politicians and movie stars and terrorists, the viewer is invited to worry about them all, there’s nothing much they can do apart from voting or giving money to somebody else. We want to make a different kind of a show — inviting action would be difficult, but we want to at least create a view of the world that makes the viewer feel more inspired, more able to live their life how they want.
- Some of this is achievable through the selection of stories
- Some — through the way we engage with stories, how we talk about them, how we relate to them

- A Psychopolitical Map: normally we see the world as divided between states; an easy-to-understand alternative is to draw religious/ideological maps. We see states as agents: governments act all the time, claiming to represent their people. In the West, we tend to see organized religions less active — they don’t start wars or make a lot of new laws. We are neither a state nor an organized religion nor a political party — what is a model that would grant us and entities like us agency, make us the main characters? Movements in art, philosophy, technology? We do have: artists, AI people, psychiatrists, religious freaks, drug users, writers and journalists… What are we collectively? An art collective? A cultural movement?
